What is the Amazon Account Health Rating?
Amazon Account Health Rating – What is it and why should you care?
Amazon has recently launched a new feature on their platform – the account health rating. This is a central place for sellers to go to see the performance of their account and get tips on how to improve it. In this blog post, we’ll break down what exactly the account health rating is and why you should care about it.
What is the account health rating?
The account health rating is a measure of how well your account is performing based on a number of factors, including Suspected Intellectual Property Violations, Received Intellectual Property Complaints, Restricted Product Violations and more. It’s important to note that this rating is different from your seller feedback score, which measures how much positive feedback you’ve received from buyers.
Why should you care about it?
Your account health rating can affect your ability to sell on Amazon in a few ways. First, if your rating falls below a certain threshold, you may be restricted from selling certain products or categories. Additionally, a low account health rating can make it harder to win the Buy Box – which we all know is essential for driving sales. However, if your rating falls too low (caused by receiving multiple complaints/violations and not successfully appealing or resolving them) then you will normally be suspended.
Sellers start with 200 points, just on the borderline of Healthy and earn more points as they fulfil orders. Any violations received will deduct points and your account will be at risk of suspension. You can see next to each violation the level of severity from ‘No Impact’ to ‘High’. You are also deducted more points for repeat violations.
For all these reasons, it’s important to care about your rating as an Amazon seller and seek expert help to fix any problems before your account is suspended.
The bottom line is that your account health rating should be something you’re paying attention to if you’re selling on Amazon. By monitoring your performance in the key areas that Amazon measures, you can make sure that your business is in good standing and avoid any potential roadblocks down the road.
